Put God Back in Our Country

We grouse about how bad things are, but do we really think why this has happened to our country. I'm speaking of America, of course. We have taken God out of everything. Out of our schools, out of our holidays, out of our government.

In my opinion, this is the reason we are suffering such a drought in financial means. We decided it was ok to let the minority determine for the majority.

It's ok for our children to study witch craft in school, pierce their bodies, wear anything they want, and condoms are made available in the boys bathrooms. But they are not to bring their bibles or try having fellowships.

So what happened to our freedom to worship? Why are we in this place where we have no say anymore as Christians? Because we didn't take a stand. We decided to stay in the background and not fight for our rights and privileges. If we had, would we be in the place where we are now with the terrible recession we are experiencing?

Our founding fathers stood for the rights of believers to worship wherever they were. They also fought for us to have these rights. We, as believers, need to take a stand and put our Heavenly Father where He belongs, back in the senate, the congress, and our schools.

Some time ago, I knew of a wonderful Christian band that had planned to perform at a school, but when it was discovered they would be using Jesus Christ's name, the were out right refused. They ended up playing on the steps of a public place. Teenagers, absolutely loved them because their music was what they listened to. We adults enjoyed their music also. I happened to be blessed to go to more than one of their concerts. I have to tell you, it was a powerful experience. One I will never forget. We would use lights and stand to show our devotion. We also would dance in the aisles. It was glorious.

Our teens aren't being able to enjoy these types of concerts today. They are bombarded with suicidal messages in a lot of the music they listen to. Teen suicide rates have sky rocketed. I should have realized that what happened to the group was a warning of things to come. But, like many others, I didn't believe or even think this could happen to us.

So what are we going to do? Are we going to continue letting our rights and privileges be determined by the minority or are we going to take a stand and get them back. And, in the interim, make sure our children have them? After all, we are the ones, who are responsible for teaching them God's Word. When we do this, they can become anything they want to. Don't teach them, and find them years later, greedy, unhappy and floundering for answers.

Look at any country that doesn't worship our Heavenly Father. They are in abject poverty and disease ridden. Do you think this is just coincidence? Of course it isn't. Is this truly what we want? I tell you, folks. The way things are, right at the point we are today, we are well on our way.

This is my opinion. You can either agree or disagree with it. Either way, if you don't think this is the reason for our downfall, then you tell me what is. I'll bet, in the interim, you'll end up finding out that what I'm saying is true.
